Applications for the internship will be accepted year round, however, applications received by April 30 of the current year will be given first consideration for the upcoming cycle. Applications received after April 30 may be considered as positions are available.
The CMC Internship focuses on developing ministry leaders (generally 20 years or older), who may be called to or are considering a career in ministry. Interns are able to gain practical experience in vocational ministry, which fosters growth in leadership that is useful for those who do not work in vocational ministry as well as for those who do.
DO I NEED TO HAVE OR BE PURSUING A COLLEGE DEGREE TO APPLY FOR THE CMC INTERNSHIP?No. Pursuing a college degree is not a requirement to be considered for the internship position.
DO I HAVE TO BE CALLED TO VOCATIONAL MINISTRY TO APPLY FOR THE INTERNSHIP?No. We know that many young adults are trying out different options for their lives as they move to the center of God’s purpose for them, and that’s really good! Some people know beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are called to work in vocational ministry, and others are called to a ministry that may or may not occur in a church. Vocational ministry is unique and can be very fulfilling, but it can be difficult to determine if it’s the right path for you until you try it. Wherever you are on your journey, this internship will give you the opportunity to grow as a leader and hopefully move closer to the center of God’s purpose for your life, wherever that might be.
ARE INTERNS ABLE TO WORK ANOTHER JOB OUTSIDE OF THE CMC INTERNSHIP?Interns CAN work another job outside of the Cross Mountain during their internship as long as their schedule as an intern is not impacted.
